Just over 100 years ago Oswald Spengler prophesied the decline of the West in his two-volume work of that title. Although his thesis had some short-term relevance, it would now seem to have significant applicability in Western Europe.
In the aftermath of World War 1 Spengler saw the rise of race and racial domination and the demise of a liberal order in Europe. In that history charts cycles, Spengler’s view of the nuts and bolts of the process seems to be accurate as Europe now finds itself in a vice-like grip of two alien forces promoting de-civilisation, namely, nihilistic globalism and Islamic colonization.
Both forces are eradicating the basis of Western culture – freedom of expression and Christianity. Both are driven by money where the only difference in the outcomes would be either Orwellianism under the globalists or Europe submerged in a Caliphate empire.
The EU’s virtual banning of expression contrary to its narrative is hardly different from the straitjacket the Nazis imposed on the media. Even more significant is the anti-Semitic cant of the EU, exemplified by the Dutch Jetten coalition ruling what was once referred to as the ‘land of Anne Frank.’
As the Gatestone Institute remarks, in the light of mass Islamic immigration, politicians have abandoned the post-Holocaust mantle of guilt in an attempt to ingratiate themselves with the emerging Islamic electorate. Thus, the narrative of identity with Israel has been replaced with one of support for Palestine.
Symptomatic of this, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez recently issued a blanket legalization of 500,000 Islamic illegals in Spain. Allied to that is EU funding of Muslim Brotherhood organisations. This was first revealed in October 2021 by researchers Paul Stott and Tommaso Virgili and updated in December 2025 by the Gatestone Institute. It was also raised in the European Parliament by Swedish member Charles Wiemers.
Short of the emergence of a modern-day Charles Martel, who permanently checked the northern expansion of Islam into France in 732, Western Europe is on the road to national suicide. The current crop of unpopular, globalist-installed European leaders should be seen for what they are – the undertakers in the decline of the West.
