The arrest in France of the owner of social media platform Telegram for “possible criminality” in terms of French media laws, should be a frightening indicator of the onset of globalist, Orwellian hegemony (The Mercury, August 26).
Implementation of a world in which freedom of speech and free access to information are prohibited and criminalised is the bedrock of the globalists’ establishment of the new world order now called the Great Re-Set. Under such a dispensation, control of the narrative on any given subject is ordained solely by the ruling cabal.
Already, this straitjacket of media control is the official policy of the European Union. In July, it requested that Elon Musk apply censorship covertly on his media platform, X. To his credit, Musk rejected the request and denounced the EU Commission’s intentions.
Earlier this month, the EU Commission urged Musk not to restore Donald Trump’s account on X. For ignoring that appeal, the EU now intends to shut down access to X and, punitively, to add a nine percent import duty to Musk’s Tesla cars.
For the globalists, Elon Musk’s declaration of support for Donald Trump is a major setback for their Orwellian intentions. The X platform, with about a billion followers, along with Rumble, Truth Social, Bitchute, Telegram and a few other independent social media platforms, constitutes a lifeline for freedom of speech and narrative dissent and a bulwark against the media tyranny of the globalists.
For those who persist in dismissing the Orwellianism of the globalists as a “conspiracy theory,” history shows that suppression of freedom of expression has always been the basis of totalitarianism. It was because of opposition to such suppression that the US was born and communism crumbled in the USSR.
