In June 2023 the DA got in a froth about Vladimir Putin’s visit to South Africa and wanted him arrested in terms of the ICC’s charges of war crimes in Ukraine. Oddly, the DA did not advocate the arrest of China’s President Xi Jinping on that occasion, despite the fact that Xi’s humanitarian record makes Putin’s look quite moderate.

Be that as it may, DA leader John Steenhuizen’s defence of his colleague’s granting of visa-free access to Zelelsky’s henchmen reeks of double standards.  He opposes the ANC’s regard for Putin as an ally because Russia is “an authoritarian regime engaged in a contentious military conflict” (The Mercury,  October 29).

Yet in the same breath, Steenhuizen expresses the need to show “solidarity” with the Zelensky regime in Ukraine. How does he justify that considering Zelensky has banned all opposition, closed down their television stations and provides no accountability for the billions of US taxpayer largesse supplied by the Biden/Harris regime?

Support for Ukraine also means condoning the international criminal syndicate which uses Ukraine as a conduit for human trafficking and money laundering. The vociferous support of the elites in Western states and their satraps, in particular the US Democrat Party, should alert scrutiny as to why they are so protective of the corrupt Zelensky regime.

South Africa has no business getting involved in Ukraine. Leave Europe’s problems to Europe. Instead, the DA and the ANC should be focusing on the threat of conquest and destabilisation posed by Islamic insurgency in the northern province of Mozambique.

The founders of the ANC in 1912 were moderate, middle-class Africans who sought a better deal for the African population, from which they were excluded by the newly established government of the Union of South Africa.

It was only decades later by 1947 that the ANC had become a captive of the SA Communist Party, when seven members of its Executive committee were communists and included Joe Slovo and Bram Fischer. From that point, the original moderate objectives of the ANC were replaced by communist ideology, as reflected in the Freedom Charter drafted by, inter alia, Slovo, Ben Turok, and Ruth First.

History rotates in cycles. With the likes of Cosatu and the Gucci communist parasites within the ANC who are implacably opposed to a coalition with the DA, history confronts the ANC: to return to its original, reputable roots or be irrevocably absorbed into the ranks of the MKP and EFF Marxist radicals.

Over the years the ANC has shed many skins: the PAC, the IFP, Cope, the EFF, the MKP. But now, 30 years on, it is time to recalibrate policies so as to reverse the failure of socialism, which has betrayed the intentions of the ANC’s founders and impoverished the masses.

By returning to the responsible stance of its founders and ditching its Marxist leash, the obstacles to a coalition with the DA would be greatly reduced. A coalition with the DA can help to bring that about and get the aims of the ANC’s founders back on track.

ANC stalwart Cheryl Carolus provides a sage and sanguine outlook when she remarks that as the two biggest parties, the ANC and DA “have a responsibility to lead us” (The Mercury, June 6).

In terms of context, Trump is not “scandal-plagued.” All four of the cases against him are bogus and are being pursued purely as part of the Deep State’s determination to hobble, stymie and obstruct Trump’s return to the White House. The current one concerning Stormy Daniels is being held despite the expiration of its allegation in terms of the statute of limitations.

The term “criminal” is used pejoratively despite the principle of innocence until proven guilty. Without providing the average reader with an idea of how baseless the Daniels case is, the AFP report freely speculates that Trump faces the prospect of becoming a convicted felon. But then, regardless of the facts, it is the mainstream media’s agenda to portray Trump as unworthy of high office.

In keeping with its narrative that Trump’s Maga supporters are a threat to democracy, AFP terms his election campaign as “explosive,” despite the peaceful, patriotic nature of the tens of thousands who attend his rallies.

Those crowds are not “hard right,” as the AFP terms them. Trump’s entire political pitch is to uphold the Constitution. There is nothing polemic about that. Why do the mainstream media not condemn the Biden regime’s violation of the First Amendment by branding political opponents as “domestic terrorists?”

Accusing Trump of “vengeance” is another outright lie. He has categorically stated that the only vengeance he will inflict will be the success of his policies.

Claiming Trump sought to “subvert” the 2020 election is a standard mainstream media narrative, despite evidence which continues to emerge proving it was the Deep State Democrat Party that subverted the election, which is why Biden’s presidency is illegitimate.

Trump’s questioning of the outcome of that election was no different from Al Gore’s questioning of the outcome of the 2000 election when Bush scraped home with 500 questionable votes in Florida. Al Gore was not charged with election interference, yet that is the baseless indictment Trump faces in Georgia.

Despite his full cooperation with the National Archives, AFP fails to point out that as president, Trump has the right to declassify documents and as such they are not “top secret.” Yet Trump is being charged for that while Bill Clinton got off scot-free after keeping nuclear codes in his sock drawer. Biden has boxes of documents lying unsecured in his garage. How come he is not indicted?

When a regime unconstitutionally censors, indicts and imprisons its opponents, it ceases to call itself a democracy because such conduct is that of a police state. The extent to which the mainstream media is complicit in that narrative is a dark period in American history.

In a free country, everyone is equal before the law. But when a two-tier system of justice prevails in which application of law differs between opponents of the regime and its adherents, then freedom is replaced by despotism. As Tucker Carlson remarked recently, America today is not the same country in which he grew up.

Blinding people of this fact is the silence of the mass media on the weaponised oppression of political dissent and the violation of the first amendment. As Senator Rand Paul has observed, “the Constitution was not written to restrain citizens’ behaviour. It was written to restrain the government’s behaviour.”

Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, this week Peter Navarro, who was Trump’s top trade negotiator, will be jailed for ignoring a subpoena from the totally partisan House January 6 committee. Yet Hunter Biden has ignored a House subpoena and has not been threatened with imprisonment. In 2017 Obama’s Attorney-General, Eric Holder, ignored a House subpoena without jail consequences.

Records obtained by Judicial Watch in a lawsuit against the Department of Justice (DOJ) show that 200 CIA personnel were deployed amongst the crowd on January 6, 2021 in order to provoke and perpetrate violence so as to project the image of a Trump ordained insurrection. The unredacted video material Tucker Carlson has screened exposes the falsehood of that narrative.

Yet to date 1,250 Trump supporters have been charged with ‘insurrection’ and ‘sedition’ of which 890 have been jailed, many for periods in excess of a decade. To date only one member of BLM/Antifa has been charged with arson and violence following the riots of 2020 when more than 40 people were killed and destruction in excess of $2 billion occurred.

Steve Baker, a conservative journalist, was brought to court in leg manacles last month three years after he published his account of January 6. Unlike the 60 other journalists who covered that event, Baker faces prison.

Over 1,4 million undergrad students have been punished or threatened for expressing views contrary to official narratives. In outright contravention of the first amendment, the Biden regime has colluded with Big Tech to monitor and suspend social media accounts of those who oppose prescribed narratives.

Parents who have objected to wokeism, transgenderism and critical race theory being imposed on their children are officially branded as ‘domestic terrorists’ by the Biden DOJ. According to Biden and Kamala Harris, such people along with all Trump supporters pose the ‘greatest threat’ to America.

If the mass media focused on the spirit of the vast, unprecedented crowds of people who gather at every Trump rally, it would be obvious that Biden’s new world order narrative is not only un-American but is doomed.

In the Dominion voting machine case, Professor Halderman did acknowledge that the machines could be hacked to flip votes. The seriousness of his claim caused the Biden White House to urge Georgia judge Amy Totenburg not to release Halderman’s analysis of the machines as disclosure “could undermine election security” (Epoch Times, February 12, 2022).

In another case involving electoral fraud, the Konnech software company of Michigan was found to have collected voting data, transmitted it to China where it was manipulated then returned to US voting stations. When that information was first disclosed by the conservative cybersleuths, True The Vote, the Washington Post rejected it as “misinformation.” But on October 17, 2022, the paper expressed alarm that Chinese hackers had scanned more than 100 US state-level political party domains and stolen hundreds of terabytes of data. The Konnech case opined the Post, was “a matter of national security.”

Although there is a great deal more evidence of electoral fraud, a few examples will suffice: 3 million voter registrations in NY state had no basic voter detail; 150,000 ballots in Wisconsin could not be connected with valid addresses; 15 of 17 counties in Nevada reported more votes than registered voters; 120,000 ballots in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, could not be reconciled with actual voters; in Fulton County a judge ordered the unsealing of 147,000 mail-in ballots after it was found that many were Xerox copies.

Regarding Mr Wittstock’s interest in the Deep State, refers to the military-industrial complex about which Eisenhower warned JFK. Like an octopus, it links media, educational, business, institutional and political party elites. It is driven by high finance in the interests of high finance. Over the past 70 years, this powerful cabal has infiltrated all strata of government and determined the narratives on war and policy matters.

Its ability to do so stems from its control of both major parties. Whether Gore or Bush won in 2000 was irrelevant because both serve the elite as was the case in elections involving Obama, McCain and Romney. But in 2016, the unexpected happened. Trump, who opposes the insider elite, defeated Deep State’s Hillary Clinton. Hence, since 2016 he has faced an all-out vendetta to defeat and destroy him.

Deep State’s globalist agenda is being glaringly implemented by the Biden puppet regime: open borders, population control through vaccines, surveillance, censorship, increased federal control at the expense of states’ rights, marginalisation of the first and second amendments, political weaponisation of the justice system, bloating of the fiscal debt. And that is reality – not conspiracy theory.

Climate change is a natural, historic phenomenon unrelated to human activities. The most extreme weather in KZN took place on May 31- June 1, 1905, when fossil fuel development was in its infancy. So, Kaunda’s plea that “all of us work together towards finding lasting solutions” to violent storms is a false narrative intended to cover up the ANC’s failure to respect natural topography regarding drainage and water tables and to maintain infrastructure designed to minimise flooding.

As for adhering to the unscientific, Paris-aligned Climate Action Plan of reducing carbon emissions, has Kaunda calculated the cost of this green pipe dream? How does he think the poor are going to afford travelling in electric taxis? Once coal and gas are banned, how does he think the poor are going to heat their homes and cook?

Reputable scientists who are not in thrall to the WHO and the WEF have proved that carbon emissions have no influence on climate and that global temperatures have remained consistent for 70 years.

With so much that needs fixing in eThekwini thanks to ANC misrule and cadre deployment, mayor Kaunda should not be wasting space in The Mercury parroting false narratives when it is the ANC that is largely to blame for flood disasters by not having applied some of the very solutions Kaunda now claims are needed to address future natural instances of extreme rainfall.

As a former eThekwini councillor, Meyer, experienced and witnessed the steady decline in the various service departments as institutional memory was retired and replaced by cadres either with fake qualifications or questionable competence. At the same time while the staff complement of the municipality grew from 16,000 to 28,000, service delivery declined.

eThekwini municipality has proved a classic case study of Professor Northcote Parkinson’s theory on bureaucratic bloat. He posited that: (1) there is little or no relationship between work to be done and the size of the staff; (2) officials are prone to multiplying the number of subordinates; (3) the growth in administrative staff greatly exceeds that of technical staff.

No matter how many “experts” are going to “intervene” in the quest to restore eThekwini’s ability to function properly, their mission is flawed. Only by terminating the policy of cadre deployment, radically reducing bureaucrat bloat, advertising key posts and appointing people on the basis of qualifications and skills instead of demographic quotas, can the Metro’s fortunes be salvaged.

The plight of Pietermaritzburg, which has twice been under administration (Section 139), illustrates the futility of interventions that fail to root out the fundamental causes of service delivery failure.  The basis of those failures is because the corrupt cannot uproot their fellow travellers and the ANC is hidebound by its failed ideology.

The ICC has charged Putin with war crimes and the deportation of the population from occupied areas of Ukraine to Russia. On that basis, the DA wants him arrested when he arrives to attend the July 25-27 BRICS summit in Johannesburg.

Also attending the summit will be President Xi Jinping of China. His humanitarian record makes Putin’s look moderate. First of all, China is a one-party Communist state. Under Xi policies of coercive control, forced abortion and sterilisation are practised. Kazakh, Uyghur and Muslim minorities are confined to camps and subjected to forced labour. Religious sites are destroyed and Chinese youth face persecution for involvement in religious services. Then there is China’s military subjugation of Tibet.

How come those policies don’t seem to bother the DA’s humanitarian conscience? How come Xi is welcomed but Putin is threatened with arrest?

The narrative that Zelensky of Ukraine is the poster boy of democracy and good intentions is a myth. The man is not only a puppet of the globalists, but he is a dictator. He has arrested the leader of the opposition, Viktor Medvedchuk, banned all opposition and closed down their TV stations. He provides no accountability for the billions of US taxpayer largesse the Biden regime has provided.

Support for Ukraine amounts to an endorsement of the despotism of the Zelensky regime which acts as a money-laundering, bio-weapon factory, human trafficking conduit for the criminal syndicates associated with the new world order and the WEF.

The threat of financial instability to which South Africa is being subjected because of its non-aligned stance in the war between Russia and Ukraine, is symptomatic of the fear the US dollar-WEF hegemony and its satraps are experiencing at the challenge posed to their geopolitical and economic domination by the emerging BRICS alignment.

The call for Putin’s arrest is a contrived red herring.

Only the ANC elite would disagree with the Chief Justice when he says the ANC has reversed the gains of democracy and that the sacrifices made by previous leaders have been nullified.

By reminding those in office of the extent to which they have abandoned constitutional values, Chief Justice Raymond Zondo is to be commended for his candour and courage for speaking the truth. As the Chief Justice whose duty is to uphold the constitution, his condemnation of the current ANC leadership is entirely in accord with the preamble of the constitution which exhorts that “government is based on the will of the people.”

In every case, complicity is paramount. Foremost in that process is the mass media. The repetition of the same narrative across media networks is very effective in conforming opinion and ensuring adherence. This sheep herding translates into political acceptance and continuity for the narrative purveyors.

Dissent by individuals is dealt with by de-platforming them or, in the case of large groups of US parents opposing Critical Race Theory and gender transitioning, flagging them “domestic terrorists.” In New York, teachers who refused to be vaxxed were flagged as having “problem codes.” Their fingerprints were sent to the FBI. “Misconduct” was listed on their records. Worse still, in terms of the WHO-imposed “bio-security agenda,” the unvaxxed are being tracked by a programme called ICD-10 which accesses medical records through clinics, hospitals, and doctors. By design, freedom is being violated and diminished.

The cult of environmentalism has become the new state religion. Contrary facts and data concerning the environment fall on deaf ears as the globalists insist on decarbonisation, the reduction of bovine herds, insect nutrition and green energy. Control of the producers and purveyors of nutrition by mega-corporations like Pepsico, the largest food and beverage company in North America and the second largest in the world (revenues of $64 billion in 2022), reinforces the environmentalist cult.

Inconvenient truths, such as those being revealed by Republicans on the Judicial Committee of the House of Representatives, are being subjected to diversions so as not to clog the news media and to challenge existing narratives on gun control, election integrity and the right to free speech. The gunman who recently killed several people at Michigan University was known by the FBI for flouting gun laws in 2019 yet his licence was never revoked. Although he took his own life, was he set up to perpetrate those killings as a means of diverting attention from the House hearings so as to re-focus opposition to the right to bear arms?

The biggest threat facing globalist power and their plans to destroy national sovereignty and depopulate the planet is their fear of an informed public. Their efforts to coerce progressive compliance with their totalitarian objectives should alert all who value liberty because, as Robert F Kennedy Jnr has wisely warned: “Nobody ever complied their way out of totalitarianism.”
